Although it is undated, this leaflet is almost certainly the one published when the baths opened in 1936. The Turkish bath is one of only twelve Victorian or Victorian-style Turkish baths still open today.
Apart from the typography, clues to the date can be found inside the leaflet. Men's and women's slipper baths were still being provided, as was a Zotofoam bath—an early type of whirlpool or ™Jacuzzi.
Another giveaway is that, inside the leaflet, it was considered important to mention that the swimming pool was for 'Mixed Bathing', and that it was possible to hire a Jantzen Costume for 2d—though a deposit of 2/- was required.
A 15 minute shampoo cost 2/-, though the shampooing slab near the plunge pool was later replaced by two whirlpools.
