Epsom Turkish Baths: plunge pool and one of the hot rooms

The wall tiles in the three hot rooms were glazed and those on the floors were impervious and non-slip. It is not known at what temperatures the hot rooms were maintained, but when the baths first opened it is probable that they were higher than the 113-194˚F range maintained during the last years of the baths. The water in the plunge pool would have been cold.
The Turkish baths were heated by a gas-fired air heater adjacent to the baths and quite separate from the swimming pool plant.
