After the death of his father Benjamin in 1895, Harry Bell was joint proprietor with his brother Edward Robert of the Wool Exchange Turkish Baths in Basinghall Street, London.
In 1901, he moved with his family to Canada where he worked at the King Street Turkish Bath in Toronto. These baths were owned by Thomas Cook who was married to Harry's sister-in-law.
It is not known how long he worked there, but the baths themselves, which opened in 1874, remained open till 1949.
