Nevill's Turkish Baths:
Northumberland Avenue, London:
Cooling-room dome

Temporary view of the dome from Craven Street
< Photo: Shifrin

The exterior of the cooling-room dome seen at Nevill's  Turkish baths and Head Office in Northumberland Avenue.

This surprising view of the dome in the late 1990s was temporarily revealed during building work at the rear of the old Nevill building. The view is from Craven Street. Clearly to be seen are the ventilator casing on top of the dome and, in the background, the rooms built over the Turkish bath for letting as offices.
