Hammam at Balat Cavus, Istanbul

According to Orhan Yilmazkaya, the Balat Cavus baths are among the oldest in Istanbul, though now rather run down. We don't know which hammam is being described in the letter from Armand Powlett to his father, but it seems likely that a young man might go to a smaller, and perhaps less expensive, hammam than this one.
