Very little is known about these baths except that their proprietor, Adolph Lundin, was running them in the late 1890s and well into the first half of the 20th century.
Although built under the Tremont Theatre, the baths were not part of it and were open to the public—unlike the unique theatre baths at Wimbledon in England.
The year after this advertisement appeared, Lundin opened a new Turkish bath for women in St Botolph Street, and the theatre baths became a men only establishment open day and night.
