Miller Arcade Turkish Baths, Preston:

Behind this blocked up doorway, on the outside of the Miller Arcade in Preston, was a staircase leading up to the Turkish bath. It opened in 1899, when the Arcade was built, and remained open till 1947.  The arcade, but not, alas, the Turkish bath, was restored in 1972. In 1895 this design won a competition for the 'best planned fire-proof arcade'.
