Swindon Turkish Baths
Taunton Street / Faringdon Road:
directory advertisement

< A rare image showing parts of the original Turkish baths, and the construction of the new swimming baths being built across the road. (Courtesy National Railway Museum, York)

In the foreground is the steelwork of the arches which will support the roofs of two swimming pools which will be part of the new health centre being build over the road from the Turkish baths. The unexciting, utilitarian, but highly successful Turkish baths can be seen through the arches.
